My first 1/4 mile runs
Went to a meeting in Belgium last saturday, drove my first 1/4 mile there :D. Was a great experiance although it rained a bit, i know i'm going to do this more often.
My first race stinked ;D, the lights went on really quick, i was looking away for a sec, and when i looked back, the other car had already left. http://www.student.kun.nl/p.oonincx/...e/P5240053.avi another run: http://www.student.kun.nl/p.oonincx/...e/P5240010.avi Did 4 runs, my best was a 15.34 on grooved slicks, guess i could do a bit better if i had more traction. Here a pic of my daily driver, complete with the dents, ugly ass rust repair and slicks :) http://www.student.kun.nl/p.oonincx/web/race/ugly.jpg Me behind bars, where i could have been that day, lol. On the way to the track, the Belgium cops cought me speeding on a parking lot, had no driving licence or papers with me... not a smart thing to do when you leave your own country. Luckily they had a good mood, so only got a 25 Euro fine. http://www.student.kun.nl/p.oonincx/web/race/behind.jpg Those who stayed for the weekend put up their tents. http://www.student.kun.nl/p.oonincx/...ce/weekend.jpg Talk about rice, an airfilter that looks like an intercooler. http://www.student.kun.nl/p.oonincx/web/race/rice.jpg Pieter |

Re:My first 1/4 mile runs
@ Jeff,
It was a weekend event, i only was there on saturday, for some weird reason they gave the time slips on sunday ??? :( So i only know the 1/4 mile time :( . But i guess i will do more runs in the near future, at decent tracks. Pieter |
