The new Intel CoreDuo's are baddass. Deff. a whole new processor compared to the ginormo-clocked P4's etc.
My laptop in a 1.86 Pentium M, and I was supprised at how fast it was compared to my Athlon 3000+. Clock for clock the the new mobile pentium stuff is on par/exceding the Athlon stuff. IMHO of course.

Also, Id rock the Nvidia card over any shared memory card.

I recently got a Dell laptop with a Core Duo, it's alright.

wont play any games? my ass, all over i read and hear about people playing bf2 n ---- i wasnt even expecting the out of it, even the nvidia card is shared, its like 128 dedicated and 128 shared, notebookforums alot of people say it benchmarked high or some ---- over the nvidia and its rated as a mid range card, the nvidia is the least.

Get an x1600 minium, and the reason your dell is ----, is the mortheboard was made in my basement. Get an Ibuypower knockoff if your cheap and at least want 20 minutes of gaming goodness.

You can also go to the business part on the Dell site, and make up a name for your fake small business. They run specials all the time, I got my "small business" laptop for $200 less than the same computer on the consumer side.
