my dog....

i dont really have anyone to talk to so im jsut gonna write and vent out. a few nights ago my dogs got attacked by a coyote. i went to let one of them inside and noticed he was covered in blood. so i went looking for the other and found him laying in my front yard. he looked dead to me and my heart just dropped into my stomach. the only thing i can think about right now is the way he looked at me when i walked over to him and how he was so helpless. if it wasnt for my other dog he would have probably been eaten by the coyote. well tonight i got a call saying he wasnt doing so well and went down. all i could do when i saw him was cry. they said he probably wasnt gonna make it through the night so i just figured it was his time. i know he was just a dog and you guys have no idea who i am or who my dog was but i loved him. i had never watched anything die before. so i held him in my arms and they put him to sleep. i hope hes doing ok where ever he is. sorry for the long post guys. goodnight

Re:my dog....

That suckz. When you see that coyote again and happen to have a rifle or something in your hand, just remember that the coyote doesn't have an owner to feel sad. ;)
Maybe you could get a bigger, meaner dog in his memory. ;)

I feel for you man...even reading your story i felt so helpless for the dog, but you couldn't do anything about it.

I love my dogs. They are a welcome sight everytime I come home from work.

What really kills me is when you hear animal abuse because all the pet wants to do is to love and lick the master.

damn man that sucks sorry to hear it.... i used to have these ducks that i raised since they were little tiny ducklings, and one night a racoon came and killed one of them, and i swore if i ever saw another racoon and i could kill it i would... so about 3 months later i hear my dog out side in the back yard growling real loud and barking, and low and behold he has cornered a racoon under the doghouse... so i have no gun, not even a bb gun (which i would much rather have used) but i have this knife that my friend got me from africa, so i take this knife and tape it to a long stick and go out there, and stab taht ------ racoon to death. bastard ass racoon.. but sorry for your loss man

sorry to hear that...

i once had a mutt that was really annoying and would always wonder out into other peoples property... well one day he came back with blood all over his stomach and hind quarter... someone had shot him, he died in a pool of blood in front of his doggy house... it was really sad...

my other dog, Blacky the black retriever... damn that dogg was a smart ass dogg! he was like a real homie. but he had a heart condition and died at only 3 years old. I really miss that dog.

now i have a chocolate lab... dumbest dog ive ever seen... supposed to come from some champion bloodline.... the damn chocolate labrador retriever can't even retrieve a ball... one day i'm gonna shoot that dog!

i think i'm gonna get a new dog... staffshire pit.. something or other...

Sorry to hear about the dog man! Like someone else said pets are part of the family, and it definitely hurts when you lose something that is so close to you. And stealth is right kill the damn coyote, there will be no loss for anyone when it dies.

what if there's some strange wilderness woman/witch who loves the coyote and lives only so she can see the coyote everyday, and she has passwords to nuke facilities and when you kill her coyote she goes wup crazy like knife on stick boy and busts into the local nuke launching site and blows the world up, all so you could get revenege, then what?

Re:my dog....

I'm so sorry for you, death is never an easy thing and for most of us our pets seem to be a huge part of our family. Hang in there and remember how much it meant to your dog that you were there with him as he was laid to rest...

As for the coyote... Find that fucker and make sure he doesn't hurt another dog, or anything else for that matter, ever again if you know what I mean.

Make sure your other dog is okay and focus everything on him. I know that the companion dog often goes through quite a depression as well as the owner, so just make sure all your love goes to him.

RIP to your 4-legged friend :'(

Re:my dog....

That's so sad. I hated seeing my dog in pain. He had cancer and ended up dieing on the way to the vet. He can never be replaced. I know everybody says their dog was the best dog in the world, but I swear this dog really was. He was just like one of us. He even sat on the couch like us. He would burp, fart, talk(not in words), and just kick it with you. I would trade so much to have him back.

We buried him way out in the desert. My brother and I went out to visit his grave and discovered he was dug up by coyotes. I have never wanted to kill something so bad. We planned on setting up a trap for the little pieces of ----. A couple 30rd clips in my AK would be in order. >:(

Sorry to hear about your dog. Try not to think about him when he was in pain. Jut think about the good times you had with him when he was well. :-\

sorry to hear this man. Pets aren't just Dogs or Cats, they're part of the family.

Maybe his spirit will live on through re-incarnation, my puppy was born just last night.

My condolences. Pets are a part of your family no matter what anyone says. When you share so many experiences with a pet it is hard to see them go. ------ some good Karma and rescue a dog from the pound, it will make everything better.

True true..
i remember the last time when i got my dog from the pound, i had to walk through where they kept all the dog in their cages. all in a suddent all of them will whine(sp ???) while looking at you, kinda like they wanted you to bring them home.
yea man go rescue one from the pound, save a life, coz u know how they will end up if no one`s keeping them. :-\

Yeah boost thats what happend to my dog... Poor girl was starting to have trouble breathing (sounded like she had somthing in her throat) so we take her to the vet, vet said that she had paralyzed vocal cords... to make sure that was the problem he put her out and scoped down her throat... so he supposedly confirms, refers us to a specialist surgeon who can fix it (supposedly) so we drop her off so they can do the surgery to fix her... and a few hours later we get a call back, specialist vet took an x ray right when they put her out for the operation and it came back horriffic, she had multiple tumors in her throat and lungs, they were surprised she lived soo long (roughly 6 mos) and i think she suffered, so we had to put her to sleep... poor girl. Had we known it was cancer we prolly woulda put her to sleep a few months back so she wouldnt have suffered... ---- VETS, it think they tried to scam us, bunch of really sick bastards they are... and to think we believed them

Re:my dog....

I know how it feels to have a pet die. I've had many pets over the years die on me, never in my arms though.

1) Remember, you have another dog. Not trying to sound harsh, but be thankful he's all right.
2)Shoot the coyote's
3)Shoot them again
4)Shoot them til the either die, or you run out of ammo.
5)Live and let go.

I still miss my cats and dogs that died years ago. They do become one of the family.. sorry for your loss man. :(
