what kind of router are you running? what brand/model cable modem? did you recently install something before this started happening ? have you tried powering down everything (modem, router) by pulling the power source and leaving disconnect for 10 seconds or so? also check for static in your rj6 (coax) do this by removing it from your modem put your fingertip to the center wire then angle your finger so you're touching both the wire and the surrounding screw terminal. if you feel a light shock this is normal thats the static from the line. hope this helps if not reply back with everything else

no its a good thing that you didnt, static can get built up in the line from carpet, dust.. etc releasing the static keeps your connection fresh and your modem safe.

have you tried using it from usb? http://www.zoom.com/techsupport/cable/cable_5241.shtml < the drivers for it if you havent... the chipsets are ---- on it, does it usually get really hot? if so you might have burned something on the board.
