My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
My PC keeps beeping every 20 minutes or so, DOOOP-DEEEEEP. It's really loud and annoying. No error messages or anything. I unplugged the speaker :8, but would like to solve the problem the right way. I'm not sure where to start looking. ??? Any ideas?

Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
It's gonna explode watch out! Just kidding anyways, it's not coming from the speakers then thats crazy you should make a sound clip of this beeping. Otherwise if it coming from the speakers it could be spyware. Only other thing I can think of is maybe your cooling fans?

Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
It is the internal speaker, the little fucker that goes boop-boop when you turn the machine on. I took it out. I gotta think there is a reason why it was going DOOP-DEEP every 15-20 mins. :P

Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
Either that or one of your fans has RPM monitoring and it's falling below the set speed. It could be a lot of things, def check your temps in the BIOS though

Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????

old motherboard no buzzer for you. old mother board make noise in pc speaker when warning. may be new motherboard make buzzer inside
LOL |
Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
I DLed the motherboard monitor. It says my case is at 80F, and CPU at 90F, so I don't think it's overheating. My case has like 8 fans, and they all work.
My motherboard is pretty old, 3-4 years, maybe? ASUS P4B266. |

i.e. sapping voltage making the one fan that the sensor is connected to run at lower than usual rpms.. 8 fans isnt good :-\ too much of anything can kill u ;) too much nothing(1) will kill u too :P _______________________________________________ (1) song by mushroom head called too much nothing ;D |
Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
The case has four fans, power supply has one, MB has one.

Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
submerse your computer in cooking oil. that would definately drown out internal noises. then listen to mushroom head O0

Re: My computater keeps beeping. WTF????
Go into your bios and see if there is any kind of temp/rpm monitoring. If there is, see what it's set at and see if your system is near the threshold. Simple.
