Pads only come in two different sizes from the manufacturer. One is standard size and one is 15 thousdandths over for custom stuff when someone brings in a pp thats very deeply eaten into and needs machining. Thats how i can say for sure that the clutch was in spec and they just appear very thin. Thanks for being honest about our transaction, Racing clutches are very grabby and do not share the same life span as the next one. It really depends how they are driven. 6 Months is the best warranty on the market as no other companies that im aware give any kind of warranty.

I really don't ride the clutch or at least not to my knowledge. No passenger of mine has ever commented on it either.


Don't get me wrong I have beaten the ---- out of my car but not as often as you think. Compared to my friends I take it very easy. But every once in a while I do beat on it. What's the point of having a fast car if you don't get on it?

Secondly I HAD to buy a 6 (or lower) puck because I've tried two full disc setups, an ACT and a Centerforce DF and both organic discs slipped like a ****.


That's what I did. I put a disc from an earlier setup that only had ~8k on it. It is a clutchnet 6 puck. There is plenty of meat left on the clutch I am currently using and it's been grabbing well.

I brought it to a machine shop that does a shitload of honda work and I know they did the proper step.


yeah it's a daily driver and I try my best to not 'ride the clutch'. Honestly it always grabbed so tight that it made it very difficult to make it slip. Obviously I could rev the ---- out of it and make it slip.



I guess I'll see how long this current 6 puck lasts so we can compare.

When I first saw a clutch specialties clutch I thought they looked thin too. Then I put one in my turbo HF for 4k miles of torture, then I sent it to Jeff for the weeze all motor deal. I don't know how many miles went on it then, but then he sent it back to me and now we've put it on Cray's car (soon to be turbo). I think I'm convinced.

one thing you have to keep in mind is what a clutch is designed for.

1. stock oe replacement style clutch. designed for low power, long life.

2. now you have your power clutches, ie 6 pucks...etc. these are made with performance in mind. It shouldnt be at all that shocking to realize that you will give up alot of that 'long life' stuff when you're stepping into a clutch designed primarily for holding power.

personally id be prety content with a clutch like this lasting 14 months, and id probably just get another one of the same.
