My CHIPOD MP3 player!!!!

So I was looking for an MP3 player on Eghey. I came across this thing.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...2232&rd=1&rd=1

It finally got here from China. I bought it with the intention of, its $24, if it doesnt work who cares. Suprise, Suprise. This thing works ------- great. I loaded tons of music on it and it works great. Its a true 4gb unit. It also plays movies, pictures, E-books, games, and the radio reception is actually really good.

Its the size of a Nano, so you can call it the ChiPod or the Chano. None the less it works tits!

Yeah doesn't surprise me too much, it's just a bunch of basic components and flash memory is far from expensive. 4gb miniSD cards are less than $20, i can imagine not-mini flash memory is a helluva lot cheaper.

If you don't mind walking around with an obvious knockoff product, it's a great deal. I've never understood why they dont create their own designs and make them look decent instead of selling stuff that looks cheap.

Are you sure that it really has 4 gigs of memory?

A lot of eBay mp3 players have some hack written into the software that will make the unit show as 4 gig when looking at it on a computer, but it actually has less. You can load 4 gigs of ---- on it, but it starts overwriting each other and just gives you errors all the time when you try to play an affected file.

The easiest way to tell the true storage space is to format the drive. It will then show the actual storage space.

But if it's really a 4 gig unit then that's a sweet deal!

---- iTunes(while making this post on iBook..lol) I'll stick with knockoff mp3 players also. I was thinking of getting one of those also Dave but wasn't sure. I've got some wireless mp3 headphones that I used at work that I rigged up in my earmuffs. O0

1 word. Battery. Expect battery life problems/failures as thats the only thing moderately expensive in any of these mp3 players. Same thing goes for laptops. Notice how the 1.5hr laptops are $500 and the 5hr ones are double that easily with the same ----...yea, batteries are expensive.
