my cars were broken into last night.....(fuckers!)
 

so i came home to my parents house this morning, my dad went to go leave for work, comes back in and says his car door (DA) was unlocked and both doors and the hatch were popped open and the radio was gone. so i go out there only to find that it was, and they had also taken my dads ecu (p61). not just unplugged it....oh no no no, that would make too much sense, they cut all the wires to the ecu so now we cant even plug up another ecu so my dad can use his car to go work.

so seeing that they messed w/ his car i started thinking about my VAFC in my hatch (EF), it was gone, my door was unlocked (meaning they know how to pick locks w/ a honda key) but they ------- idiot cut the wiring to it instead of just unplugging it again which was just stupid for him.

suprisingly they didnt ---- w/ my crx....

but ya, i called the cops, filed a report, and soon a detective will be out here.

would the wires all be the same from an OBD1 civic? I've got a spare set of plug wires here...

Ya know, the wires with the plugs on the end that connect into the ECU. Whatever they're called.

If he had some soldering skills and some patience he could solder it all together, but I'm not sure if they're the same as civics... I'd assume so but I'm unsure

Yup, You just may need to move a couple pins, or add a couple. Minor pinout differences between models

No keys needed for DA or ED chassis, n00best of the n00bs. I've popped doorlocks on those chassis using a stick, although a 6" plastic comb or better yet a spare license plate works better for that.

I think each Police station should have a yearly report of stolen car's that they recover, and not just the ones that are dropped in there lap, but ones where they get out there and pull gunz out and bust down garage doors to find these basterds.

wow that's nice... you pops has a gsr da for a daily driver. good luck finding another P61, they are hard to come by like a P30.

but that sucks though bro, I know how it feels to be violated like that.

and obd1 ecu plugs from another honda will work fine, more than likely they'll be from a DX or something so they will need to be repinned.

and thats no ---- i remeber back in 04 some ------- busted all the windows out of my teg and i even had a solid lead and they still sat on there asses and did nothing
