My car progress, not that any of you care...
Below is a post from the fabricator that just finished up his work.
Well the Turbo F-body is on it's way to finally being completed. Hot parts are out getting coated then the car just needs some minor wiring and fuel system stuff completed which another person will be doing cause I don't have time but I'll help every bit I can. Thought you guys might like to see some of the fabrication before I pulled everything off for coating. Hopefully the car will be getting tuned very soon and I might get some video if possible. First season will be on the mild side since the motor is pretty stock at this point. When the bottom end gets some good pistons and other goodies I'm hoping the car will do high 8's but who knows h34r:
No it's not a twin turbo (big single). Currently the stock air box is cut up to hold the radiator in place. This will be replaced with a custom aluminum piece after the car is tuned and running. I designed the intake like it is so I could get as much air as possible into the motor without restrictions and still keep the stock hood latch. Intercooler is single 3" inlet and twin 2 1/2" outlets as you can see that merge into a 4" piece
Picture of the down pipe (4" stainless steel). Pipe is approximately 2 1/2" below the after market k-member. The stock k-member hangs about the same distance down at the down pipe now.
This is the merge section into the turbo along with the waste gate tube (not completely welded in pic). You can also see the crossover merge further back in the picture. Turned out nice I think, should provide a nice smooth transition and everything is in optimal location for flow.
This is all you see with the fender cover in place (waste gate with dump tube)
What's under the cover
Air filter view through the old fog light hole. Should get plenty of cold air into the 4 1/2" x 6" filter.
Back section of the 4" stainless steel exhaust that runs from the turbo all the way back over the axle. As you can see there's a v-band joint for easy removal.

Good ----, is that part of the tti kit or just fully fabbed by yourself. My friend has the tti kit on his built ls1 and the car put down 760. What do you plan to put down? What rear end are you sporting?
