My car loves me... NOT, Rant inside, Blown HG

Well to day I was driving around and the car ran fine, I parked the car, went to the bank and when I came out and went to start the car it felt like it was running on 1 cylinder, instantly smoke started pouring out of everywhere, exhaust, engine bay, under the car, I knew that my head gasket just went, but didnt know why all of a sudden.

Turns out that my Thermostat was bad and wouldnt open hence why the car kept over heating before and the temp guage would fluctuate, well it got to the point where the head gasket blew more and the rad hose became the size of my CAI literatly (thank god for kevlar reinforcement)

I managed to coast closer to home and stopped to meet my dad half way so he can bring me some coolant

when I went to open the rad cap I knew I was in for some fun since my rad hose was this big, and then BAM it blew out so much air that I bet if It was recirculated in to my intake I would of made 22 PSI of boost easily and ran a 12 flat.

So I get the car home and pull out the thermostat housing, I cut the thermostat apart and throw the spring away, replace the seal and put it all back together, I pour in about a quart of antifreeze and let the car idle for 10 minutes, it burns a bit of coolant now but nothing major.

I have another Metal headgasket lying around which is still good, but its too damn cold to work on that now, I am rushing to finish this stupid turbo motor so I can just have a brand new motor put in and not worry about anything else going wrong.

So how long do you guys think this engine will hold up till I have to either replace the head gasket or just pull the whole thing.
I'm hoping that as long as I add coolant and run no thermostat that it will be fine to coast around with.

awesome man, I bought my beater today

I cant see it lasting to long, but staying out of boost and keeping the rpms low and the trips short you might be alright for a little whiel

Keep ontop of that coolant

It will eventually run on normal operating temperatures at a constant RPM, but the guage does fluctuate from cold to warm, but it hasnt crossed the half way mark yet and I know I'm burning lots of coolant. the worst part is when I park my car for a short period of time like at a gas station, and then go back in and start the car, it will be burning so much coolant that I cant even see behind the car, Then it goes away after a few seconds of driving and I get my firing back and the car runs a bit better.
