I can leave my car keys in the ignition without even worrying about it. We used to not even lock our doors when we left the house.
On a side note: I seen on TV today a court case that a guys car was stolen and the thief hit another car and ran. Well the guy had left his keys in the ignition and in New York it's against the law to leave your keys in the car while it's parked. So the dude ended up paying a few grand and his car got jacked.
