gtr i am a skeptic of but a gtx i would believe in a heart beat. there was less teh 1700 gtrs built. 200 for rally and 1500 for production to make the rally legal.

i havn't dyno'd or anything yet, but i'm guess around 190-200 at the wheel.....juss a sohc turbo kit running 10psi, practicly identicle to pats since he was the one that helped me put it together....in third gear i only had a car on him and was slowly pullin away but then i hit 4th i juss ran from him...i was also lettin him get the jump and it was like that everytime....iono i juss fell in love with the car after that....so i'm lookin to fine one cheap and fix it up, a gtx would be awesome but i don't have like 2g's for one since thats the cheapest ive seen them go for...but i was lookin into gettin a base model and swaping since i've found some info on it....my buddy thinks its an ugly car but i think its got a awesome sleeper look to it...i wish i could find the guy that drove it cause i wouldn't mind checkin out his car, but all i know is he was headin down south towards vancouver/portland area.

you could find a blown up 323 and gtx swap it for 2k. my swap in teh red car cost me about 2500 bucks when i was done. but the swap itself cost 1700. that was everything but a tranny and axels. i already had thos from my escort gt seems it is the same power plant base.

I know the difference , it was imported from japan and is right hand drive of coarse, has a usdm front bumper though.

well tey sold gtx's in japan too. in teh same body style as the gtr. the only difference is the motor. its just its rare to find a true gtr anywhere! gettign the motors is bad enuf.

That's the one thing I love about those dual cam mazda 1.8's...solid iron block, solid deck design. Block-wise those things look like they can handle tons of boost abuse.
