MUST READ - How to break-in a new/rebuilt engine!

I did some research after reading Joseph Davis's comments regarding Hotrex breaking-in his newly built engine. He stated "an engine is broken-in after 20 minutes at full operating temperature." I had some doubt about the time, and thought I would try and validate his statement (I know he does not need me to do it :3). The link below addresses bikes, snow mobiles, CARS, etc. Just thought I'd share the informattion. :y

stillnoturbo, you are such a ------- ass. Did you read the article before you start talking out your ------- ass? It stated that break-in refers to the sealing of the piston rings. It stated the break-in period depends on the condition of your cylinders. It also stated that after doing the various road driving at various speeds, you would have accomplished most (not all jackass) of the rings sealing. Most of the road work could be done winthin 20 minutes.

So, yes I had some doubt about the 20 minutes MISS -----. So what? :4 You are just like some of the other fuckers that come on here, don't read available information, and talk ---- to gain some attention. Well, you've got it MISS -----!

I'm going to break my engine in according to that method.

It makes the most sense and I know a lot of people who have had sucess using this method.

I'd break my engine in on the dyno if it were turbo, but for now I'll just do it on the street.
