thats like saying "i have had this hot, fast ass girlfriend for two weeks now, and she always gives me -----!" then the next week you realize you have itching/ burning / oozing sores. but you got what you wanted right???

i have used limewire for years and really like it. its pretty easy to spot the stuff that will hurt your computer.

I use limewire for music ONLY. nothing else. i find its easier to locate music than torrents.

however, for files, movies, etc... torrents ftw.

Torrents aren't hard to find music. If you like downloading one song at a time, sure. There's a new CD I wanna hear, I go to torrent site, search for it, find it, download it, quick. If you only want one song, use a client that lets you choose what files you download and only download those.

Reason I prefer torrents is because I can get the whole album at once, and be 99% sure that what I'm getting is a quality encode, and isn't a fake or virus.

i dont think there is an artist or band that has come out with a cd in the past 15 years that every song was worth listening to.

for me personally, i listen to all old school stuff and only dl what i know i want.

but if i were looking for the whole album, yes, i would torrent it

So are you talking about old school stuff or stuff from the last 15 years?

Past 15 years there have been a very few number of completely good CDs (IMO). Tool for instance.

But yeah, I stick with old school as well (zeppelin, beatles, hendrix, marley) and its very nice to be able to go onto a torrent site and download entire discographies at once, at a great speed. Definitely depends on what you're looking for. I like to have entire albums instead of single songs so I can listen to the entire album...frequently there's songs on the album that either never get played, or you have to wait months, so I'll stick with torrents.

Re: music d/l sites

when i say old school, i am more or less talking about hip hop, ie. dr dre, snoop, eazy e, nwa, biggie, digital underground, etc....

i consider groups/people like jimi, beatles, eagles, steve miller, ccr, etc... as classics, not old school.

the only full albums i have dl'd are nirvana's cd's. otherwise, i pick and choose the songs i like.
