multipoint dx question

can i just take si ecu, wire harness and intake setup and put it in my dx or do i have to go through all this pinning and depinning of ecu's ?

Re:multipoint dx question

yes you do.. if you just use the wiring harness how is the ecu gonna tell the other two injecotrs you added to spray fuel>? adding the wires at the ecu is a must to make the injectors work as well as the new cylinder position sensor wire and the relocation of the crank angle sensor. jsut find a web site that gives you a step by step directions on how to do it. takes maybe a day at the most.

Re:multipoint dx question

theres a thread in the fi forum, it's probably on the first page, Doc posted a how to link. Check it out, I read it last night and it says you can't just swap over the harness.

Re:multipoint dx question

even if i'm swapping out the dx ecu and using an si ecu i still need to add wires and resistor box and depinn?

Re:multipoint dx question

you would have to have the si engine harness, si ecu, and si MAIN wire harness(interior harness)and resistor box to be able to do it without repinning ... imo that is bad ... ive had a fe friends switch entire main harness and have problems with ---- ......

use your stock dx harness and do the wiring .. i just did my first about 2 weeks ago and it wasnt as bad as i thought it was .... let me know if you have any questiosn .....
