Mr2 turbo?
 

My friend has a turbo charged 1991 MR2. He upgraded his turbo and he has the stock one. He said he would sell it to me and I was wondering what kind of turbo it is and any other info I could get on it. Thanks

the turbo is most likely the toyota CT26 turbo..really good and expensive

If it's a good deal, go for it and then if you cant use it for some reason, seel it on ebay! You can get a lot for a ct-26.

Thanks for the info. Is the ct-26 any better than the t3 or t4 types what makes them diff?

i dont think its a ct-26...thats the one the older supra had and its pretty damn big

Mr2's also came with the CT26 not only the old Supra's.
Go for it man they're pretty big.
I have a CT20 and it's a decent size except for the turbine housing..

what do you have you ct20 in? Also what kind of psi can the ct26 push? I have a 2.5l nissan spec v so that is what i would probably put it on if i got it.

the mr2's came with ct26's as well as the mk3 supra's but he supra ones are bigger.. the mr2 compressor is nice but the hot side is not so great, if its a sock upgrade its prob a ct26b

the CT20 isn't installed.
Big compressor housing small turbine housing. :-\
