MPFI vs DPFI

Ok guys
I need some questions answered.
MPFI = Multi Point Fuel injection
DPFI = Dual Point Fuel Injection.

Now my questions are.
My 1.5 LSI civic I belive is a DPFI,
and people say that you will notice a better power
incrase with a MPFI.

How will this effect fuel economy .. drivebilty of the car .. what imporvments will i notice ?

Now could I use the MPFI off a 92/93 civic Vetc SOHC ?
for my 1.5 lsi, I belive both engines are D series.

Any other information will be helpful :)

Re:MPFI vs DPFI

you could use that, but with more work. if your car is a 88-91 use a 88-91 MPFI system.

also make sure u get the intake and ecu from the same year. I just bought a 91 Si intake manifold w/ everything and noticed slight differences then my 88 Si. I'm pretty sure it will still work though.

SO as long as my car and the doner car is from the same year,
There wont be a problem ?

Damn you guy's read my mind! I was wondering the same thing about this swap. My 91 civic hatch id DPFI and it just feels weak. I had thought about switching over to MPFI but wasn't sure what was involved. :)

You will have a little worse fuel mileage. But noticable hp gains.

Re:MPFI vs DPFI

If you guys don't know...ibby has a EG hatch with a DPFI engine just like me....so the DPFI ---> MPFI swap on the itnernet isn't entirely accurate for us guys. Our cars have OBD0 ECU connectors and OBD1 connectors in the engine bay.
