just download the DVD off of torrents. Look for a 4-4.5gb torrent that says DVD-R or something. If it says TS or TC its just a avi converted to DVD, the ACTUAL dvd will have 5.1 surround and everything.
no converting needed, just download that, burn to DVD, D O N E.
otherwise, if quality means nothing to you, convert it using Nero Vision, best quality that is easily accessable imo.

The chip addresses the issue of right protection on games and a bunch of other stuff.
Many newer DVD players can read a lot of formats.

Why the hell can't DL come down in price. The drives are hella cheap, but the media is still too much compared to just a little less quality on a single layer, so little that even higher end TVs won't show the difference.
