i was just going to say that, i have a water cooled bike but when its 90* and your wearing a helmet and your rad fan cant keep up. and if you got a carbed bike, at least on mine, it doesn't want to readily start when its 250* and the bowls are full of vapor.

I'm split on this. Honestly, if traffic is stand still, I see less of an issue riding slowly on the shoulder or between cars. Part of the efficiency of a motorcycle is its size. Why should I be effected by the inefficiency of cars when I can be more efficient? Now with that said, doing this is very dangerous and requires a lot of good judgment and luck. Car owners swinging their door open are just asking for more trouble than its worth and rarely will you run into this. I'd be more worried about someone trying to change lanes all of a sudden in front of me and me going splat. If you really want to do this, do this slowly and cautiously but for 5 minutes savings its not worth it. For 30 minutes of savings, maybe it is.

As for parking on the sidewalk. As long as the bike isn't in the way, shut the ---- up. I can park 4 or 5 bikes in the same space that one car fits yet that is also illegal. The advantage of a motorcycle is it's size. You're just pissed because you're stuck circling the streets while I can park immediately. At school I would park my bike on campus. If I didn't park on campus I had to park at a lot 1 mile away and take a bus on to campus. Or I could park on campus on a sidewalk out of everyones way and only be in peoples way when I'm coming and going.

See thats teh thing. if its out of the way there is no issue at all. Im talking abotu the **** that straight use the little ramp onto the sidewalk to run up and then promtly stop and park. so you literaly walk around their bike if you are walking out of the lot. No vehicles should be anywhere near pedsetrian ingress or egress. I agree with you if its out of the way its fine and yes I see the hazard of parking one bike in a spot the size of a car. maybe more citys should sheck their vehicle registrations and provide Bike sized parking spots in areas that have high resgistration of bikes.

Dont get me wrong, im talking big cause it pisses me off but its not like i go around pushing bikes over. bike didnt do anything to me but just strattleing it as you walk over it is enough to get attention and if you dont want me on it don put it right where i need to walk. If you leave yoru keys in your car and your door open some one might take your ----. that would be YOUR fault. same way with a bik. if you dont want them on it put it somewhere safe....like not on a sidewalk. if you have something of value then treat it that way dont just stick it anywhere and thinking nothing will happen.

you're wrong. its not your fault if someone steals your car if you leave the keys in it

i should be able to leave a million bucks in gold on my front lawn. doesn't mean you can steal it because i put it there. thats idiotic.

in a perfect world you should be able to leave anything thats yours anywhere without worrying about it getting jacked, in my world i got a 208 rifle by the window where i park my car, with the door/windows locked and an alarm....
