More on Michael Moore...
 

My wife brought this to my attention, and I remeber the last topic on the movie was a hot one, so I thought I would bring it up again. If you dont like the topic, just post porn on it or something. But if you take 10min of your porn surfing day, and watch the vid. it just pisses me off.

To sum up the 10min vid, Michael Moore gets blasted with the option to apoligize to the President for saying he lied to the country. Of coarse he couldn't. He said the President lied to the country and couldn't apoligize. O'Rileys response, he (Bush) was givin inaccurate info from other sources about the weapons of mass distruction. Then Moore comes back with what about the "kids" that are over in Iraq dying everyday, what about them.

I was a "kid" over in Iraq last year, and let me tell you, I would almost consider it an honor to bring 1 huge weapon of mass distruction, Saddam Hussein to justice.

The people dying over there didn't sign up for the military not knowing the risks involved with it. I didnt expect to go to war May of 2001 when I signed up. But I knew that if I was called to go, I would without question. I am trained to the best standards in the world. Don't get me wrong, I was scared shitless when I told my family bye before I left, but I had wanted to go also.

I still have yet to see the movie, but I would imagine it would just piss me off.

I am gonna stop writing on this thread because I know alot of you wont read it if its long. Its ok, I do the same thing....

that is what the military is for. They tell you things to get you "hyped up" about going over and fighting.

hey im not saying that you dont have a set of balls.. it takes some guts to get out there and fight, but look at it this way. A guy is playing russian roulette... does he have balls, or is he just stupid.

Sccaeg, what does Michael Moore know about this? When's the last time he was informed that a country with an evil ruler had weapons of mass destruction in his possession, that could potentially create another World War? Honestly, that guy is so liberal it makes me sick.

And where was the outcry when Saddam was killing his own people, while the rest of the world stood back and pretended nothing was happening? Also.. I think you or your fellow soldiers have a better place to complain about anything.. I don't see Mr. Moore fighting for our country.

I also hate that people are not more angry or upset over the senseless beheadings of the innocent over in Iraq. Instead, we get much more angry over some Al-Qaudi getting "abused" in prison. That's completely ridiculous in my opinion.

I'll stop ranting now, and let the rest of talk. ;)

That has to be the dumbest comparison I have heard in ages. So you're comparing a soldier, risking his life for the safety and welfare of his country that he loves, to a drunken fool with his gun pointed at his own head? ::)

-is it flying into a country with complete poverty, smells like ----, and has nothing because one person controls them.
-is it meeting someone (of about the age of 30)who has a 3rd grade education because 1 person controls that.

Actually, Mr. Moore is doing the most patriotic thing possible in a democratic country- He's speaking his mind, debating against the people in power, basically questioning authority. I'm not here to argue whose right and who isn't, that's what elections are for.

I think we all have to remember that without criticism, our system would fall apart. Whether you agree with Moore or not, he asks a lot of tough questions, and its getting people involved whether they are with or against him. He is doing the country a great service by bringing attention to our current government, and in the end, whether you like him or not, you will be a more informed voter.
