obviously you respect your mom and you know her well. So telling her "hey mom, I've been thinking I really need to turbo the civic" isnt going to work out. You have to be sneaky, make it happen without her knowing. First off I'm assuming you have a big fart can on the back of your civic? If so, remove it and install the stock exhasust system w/ cat convertor.

Get your whole turbokit prepped, like everything all planned out, buy extra oil pan whatever to make the process extremely fast when you do the install. Stay at your buddies house one night, invite your Highschool drag team over and hook it up hmt style. Of course when doing the downpipe you will also be installing a 3in or 2.5in Electric cutout.



Picture something like this, but instead running the downpipe back into the stock exhaust system. Thus, you will have a EXTREMELY quiet civic, but with a little push of a button you will have open exhaust and the car will rip. What if mom drives the car? have you ever drove a Turbo honda with stock exhaust and stock cat? holy ----.. its almost slower than stock, so I think you will be fine there. Also be sure to make the install real clean so if she ever does catch a glimpse of under the hood it all looks normal. Painting the intercooler black will also help, I wouldnt cut anything out of the front bumper either, just make it a complete sleeper, MOM proof

Ya ill eventually put it on with or without her permission and im a good liar so ill just tell her that i need a new headgasket and it will take a couple days to fix. And install the kit and i doubt she will notice. But i have heard some bad things about the E-cutouts such as they stick has anybody had experience with them??

turbo fund is bette rthan bud fund. but if this is something you are truly in love with than do it show your mom how much it means to you and do the guilt trip thing about love. moms always fall for the love ----. yeah its only a car but love is love
