mitsubishi/dsm guys... quick question

so i picked up a 97 eclipse rs with a blown motor for $400, and i was wondering where you guys get your eclipse/dsm motors online. best price i could find locally for a 2g eclipse rs motor was $1500- but i'd like to shop around. i know for hondas and acuras there's hmotorsonline, but i dont know any good places for dsm. also, does anybody know any places that have good swap tech info for dsms. i might consider swapping the stock 420a for a 4g63 if it is possible without spending more money than the car is worth. i keep going to places that i find on google that just say to sell the non turbo eclipse and buy a factory turbo one because the swap isn't worth it. however, considering i picked up the car for $300 plus a $100 tow, i dont mind putting a little bit of money into it.

thanks in advance for any useful info :)

where are you located i could get you a used but running 4g63 non turbo for $250 in CO if you come and pick it up, the swap is a bitch though the 1.8 sohc 420a has different mount points than the 4g63/4g63t and the swap is a bitch but if your are going to do it i dont see why you dont just say ---- it and go for the turbo one 420a=95hp<4g63=140hp<4g63t=195hp with lots of cheap mods and upgrades available

btw the motor i got is a 6bolt na with 140-150 compression across the board

Its possible but people are scared to do real work other than bolt ons so there isn't common info out there beyond "just buy a turbo model." I'd imagine you could find the proper placement for the engine mounts if you meassured an empty 2G engine bay. Theres a moderator/wiseman on t00ners that has done this. I can't remember his name but hes in wisconsin.

I'd just put in a new engine, clean it up and sell it to a high school girl, make some $$
