yeah, you can use check valves. it just so happens that i have three of them that i was going to use with the fmu i sent you. i paid 2.99 each for them. i also have extra vacuum hose, if you want, i'll set it up how it needs to be for you and sell it to you for 12 bucks shipped. they're not doing me any good and i don't have the receipt to take them back.

Re:missing link or cheaper alternative ?

whats up with them how do they work or do ?

Re:missing link or cheaper alternative ?

they're one way valves that you place in line between where your map sensor and t.b., they bleed out the boost so that your map sensor doesn't read it it.

Re:missing link or cheaper alternative ?

what about that zien diode, I probably misspelled it. If he got the correct range, couldnt he hook it up to hims map so it wouldnt see boost's voltage range.?

Re:missing link or cheaper alternative ?

you could also try the Homemade AFC.??

but yeah, don't go and buy checkvalves, almost every damn car at the junkyard as atleast one check valve, just go there and grab a whole bunch. just follow vacume lines till you find alittle plastic thing in the middle

older toyotas and ---- have aubnch of them, same with DPFI civics on teh back of the IM.

if you wana know what one looks like, look at the big vacume hose going to your brake booster, you see in the middle of the line that plastic thing? thats a check vavle, just imagine that thing proportionally smaller, so that it fits on those little vacume lines.

go to your local pet store and look for fish tank check valves, you should only need one it can probably bleed pressure up to 15 psi.

Re:missing link or cheaper alternative ?

I ran one and my map sensor never saw the pressure, until I hit 18 psi. So you've gotta read them carefully.

You might need 3 but hell it cost like $3.99 for me to get it.

Re:missing link or cheaper alternative ?

3.99 is expensive when you can just get them fro free on your weekly trip to the junkyard.

check valves guy, fish tanks aren't the only place you can get them.

here they are like 5.99 each, so spending almost 20 buxk on soemthing i can get for free sounds so stupid to me.
