We finally started doing street legal/sport compact days at the local track but the turnout hasn't been all that was hoped for. This is supposed to be the "big street legal event" of the year and all the locals are posting on various boards in the area to try and bring in some cars to run. Unless the turnout is worth a ---- this time around there won't be street legals/sport compacts days next summer.

Your car has to be able to pass a NHRA tech (all they check for is if your battery is tied down, you have coolant, you have seatbelts, you are wearing jeans and a t-shirt, the note on the page about the exhaust db test is bullshit).

Fargo is 3ish hours from the Twin Cities, you know you want to come. :)

There are places closer than that to the TC. St. Cloud has circuit track, and there are drag strips all over b/n here and there. If I was at school I would come. I am on the west border then, so it would be nice. But then it would be winter.

I understand that there are closer places than here, we just need more people to show up here so this stays alive.

Tintmasters has been coming down to race at Rock Falls for years. They always bring down some nice cars and seem like good guys. If my car was running better I would be there. Good luck with the event. I hope you get a big crowd ;D

See, that is just the problem. All of the locals go to Rock Falls, so by the time we finally start having the events here everyone still goes to Rock Falls because that is what they are used to.
