ok my friend has a totaled crx and on the trans it says d15, but i raced him about 3 times in a row and he pulled on me every time. but then i would catch back up from the *** of his car and pull away at the top of 3rd.....i had him pop his hood and he said that he thought maybe someone did the mini me swap but all he did was check the trans and it was still the d15 trans.....is there anyway i can tell if its a mini me or still the stock d15?...

for the d, look at the back of the head on to the left.
u sure it said d15 on the tranny? what was the stamp on the block? d15b? any other numbers.

 

it is stamped right on the engine right next to the tranny. very easy for a noob to mistake

 

shhh. i wanted him to search high and low for the "real engine stamp"

 

only looked at the trans. d15b im pretty sure......it had a factory black valve cover on it. i didnt know the 1.5's had black covers on them at all

 

if all the block says is d15b and the spark plus are towards the front of the valve cover and you see a vtec soleniod on the head its probally a d15b vtec not a mini me. if it was mini me it would say d16a6,d15bs,d15b7 ect...
