I am currently serving in the Air force. I remember being in the exact same situation as you.. Your going to goto basic and hate it. But once you get to your first base youll find out its like any other job but your in a uniform.

i dont know how old you are..but just cause you have been outta school for 2 years and havent done ---- doesnt mean you cant still accomplish anything!
I say dont go if you are having second thoughts! If you can go to school then do it! get it outta the way and get into something you like. get your degree and start making some decnet money!
i too was like you and i thin i still am but still, you have your whole life ahead of you. i have a son and a soon to be wife and i only see this as a beginning to a new life. im still gonna get back to school. you can never be too old to go back!

bail out go to school away from home live in a dorm or apartment if you can. It's nice to ba able to drink every night of the week and party by walking two blocks from your house

If youre only entering the service because your parents think youre lazy then don't do it.
If you think youre too lazy to suceed in school then maybe the service is right for you.
One thing to consider is you can go in for 4 years.
get some responsibility branded into your head and then tackle school after your term. youll also have the GI to take care of school after.
Not sure about the af, but other branches will also cover 100% of schooling costs if you take classes while serving.
Another thing to consider is how many people who have served or are servign say it was/is a mistake.
I dont know anybody who hasnt said it was the best decision theyve ever made.
good luck with whatever you decide.
