Hey man, defanetly go to your next command before you make your decision. Sorry, most of you dont know me here, i never post but im on for atleast 4+ hours a day reading.
I am in the navy, have been for 2 years. Il tell you what man, when i was in bootcamp the hardest part was missing my fiance(SP?). But then i graduated boot camp and she was there and it made everything better. Well a week after i left BC i went to pensacola/FL for Aircrew Candidate school. I called her for the first time and she wouldn't answere, we ended up broken up for good it seemed like. I was crying like a little ----- for weeks about it and alls i wanted to do was get out. Thats the only thing i wanted to do, in aircrew school alls you do is wake up at 5am and work out all day until 5pm. Thats it, and it was very stressfull to be doing pt and thinking about her while getting my *** beat by some gunny sgt. or some chief. I talked to the chap. and some div. officers about it and they all encouraged me to look at the brightside of life and stick it out. So i did, then ashley and i got back together. after aircrew school i went to aw a school. did all that ----, now im down here in fraq in jacksonville.Il tell you what, once you get out of training commands (im technically still in one but not really) life is a whole lot easyer. I Wake up in the morning, work out then go to work, get my gear and get on the plane and fly. Then land and go home. Dont really have to deal with any stress, noone screaming at you to do something, you are your own person. I dont know how it is on ships, couple of my mayport buddies said ships are horrible but im having the time of my life rite now. So just push it out and make a decision later on, contrary to what people say, yes,its 50x's easyer to get out in the 6 month grace period, and easy before a year. After a year it gets hard to get out but its still doible, I have friends that have gotten out a year and a half in with honorable discharges. It can be done, but dont jump on your decision too fast becuase i have seen ---- Blow up in peoples faces before.

That was the same ---- with me. They told me I was going to be "this", but then when I got there it was 4 years of being nothing and still needing the 4 year college to do it as a career on the outside. All the while, for 4 years they jack you around and move you to different shitty places. It was a waste of my time, and I knew it.
If you want out bad enough, you'll get it. I got to the point where I wasn't going to play gay or suicide or any of that ----, I just wasn't going along with thier program, and telling them that I will continue to ---- up until they let me out. They really don't like people like that around, because it effects the brainwashing of the other guys. They'll try to convince you that you'll never get out, but you have to go further and convince them that your attitude about it isn't going to get any better.

For the record, I respect the military, but in all honesty, it is 100% brainwashing, it's not for everyone, and I don't respect people based on how many patches they have on thier sleeves. I met Tech Sargents that were as smart as bricks, and that isn't respectable no matter how many years you've worked at the "tool shack" on base.

Just "tell" them you tried taking some pills but actually don't. Be like it wasn't that hard to do suprisingly and could easily do it again since you just can't handle this anymore. I had to see the pych a couple time before I got put up in the hospital being setup for discharge.I was in tech school and almost a year into the air force so I was sitting in the hospital for 2 months before i was finally discharged with a med. (honorable) discharger. Hell if I'm gonna waste my 4 years of my life loading missiles. Last time I heard "missile loading" jobs weren't that high in demand in my town. I mean what the hell are you suppose to do with that kind of ---- when you get out or any other shitty job like that has no purpose in the civilian life. Cool part was that in the 2 months waiting to get out I was chilling out and going to the bx, base gym, golf course. Basically they called it preparing yourself for civilian life. I thought of it as deprogramming myself but hell I got paid to sit and play old skool NES, read books, eat, watch tv. Good old 4north in Sheppard AFB in bumfuck Wichita Falls Texas. Last day was nice cause they I was discharged and game me a one way plane ticket back home.
