mike's clutches
just got my clutch in from 88turbocrx, and i love it
btw i got a 91 crx si (still n/a) and ordered the 6 puck sprung clutch kit i don't have much experience with aftermarket clutches, this being my first one but i'm very impressed. Its very street friendly :D I thought i was gonna have some trouble pressing in the pedal but there is hardly a difference from stock :-* Definatly worth the money, thanks again man! |
Re:mike's clutches
Yup, I thought the same thing when I used mine for the first time. Pedal feels just like stock, but the clutch grabs nicely :) Actually I need to talk to him about buying one for my 91 Civic hatch .

Re:mike's clutches
The one in my Integra turbo is unsprung, but I'm looking to get a sprung clutch for my Civic. I drive the Civic daily so i need something a little more street friendly. Not that theres anything wrong with the unsprung discs, but you do get a little clutch chatter if you try to let off the clutch gently.

Re:mike's clutches
which has chatter? unsprung or sprung...?
|
Re:mike's clutches
The unsprung would have the chatter, the springs absorb vibrations from the crankshaft.

Re:mike's clutches
I put one in a Z6 boostin 9-10psi.. seems to be holding good for now, just curious to see how long they last.

me too. ;D
Boosted 2 months on one(unpsrung). Am driving NA right now with the same clutch in another car...soon to be boosted. When I took them out the pads still looked new.. |
