might buy a car need help it ticks...
 
sup guys i might buy this 93 si hatch with a full ls swap gsr trani for 1800$ only problem is today i went to buy it and it ticks by the timing belt side i know its kinda hard for you guys to tell without listening to it but any input would help out alot.. Does sound really loud but loud enought to hear it. It does not have the full timing belt cover if that helps let me know what you guys think it could be thanks alot

Could be valves, could be bearings, could be a fucked oil pump or it could be the timing belt hitting something.

yeah 1800 aint bad. even if you have to get a new b18b long block. just hope its not bearings.

bearings are usually a more audible clunking.

ticking is usually valves, probably needs adjustments.

Going out on a limb, check oil level may be really low.

hey guys thanks alot for the input ONly problem is i have to drive it 13hour(900 miles) would you still do it how would i check for any problems??

well guys i paid 1700 for it its a 93 primered si with the ls swap the belt is really looose on it i hope it makes it TO IDAHO>>>> ill let u guys know what happens any advice let me knwo thanks
