how often do you need to use it? i just checked out homedepot and they rent them for $40/day. thinking about trying it out instead of having a shop weld my stuff.

just dont buy a fully electric welder. they suck. i have one and it does ok but the welds look like a bag o ass, and arent strong.

get a decent miller with argon

yep as long as it takes a gas welder it will be cool, don't get a flux-cored only welder, they suck -------.

Re:MIG Welder???

yeah someone told me that once... not to buy a flux core welder... to get something that can connect to gas as to upgrade later on... Im going to be using it quite often around the house... and on the car.. and for fabricating things... Someone was selling me one... but it was for 220V... and i dont think i have that much current at home... I saw one at home depot... it was like 380 or something.. but i think i still have to get the bottle and hoses to hook it up to argon. anyways.. thanks for the info guys...
