I am wanting to get in to Tig welding basicly so i can do things myself that normaly i have to pay someone or beg someone to do for me. I know Mig is the first step them people go to Tig. My question is that if i drop the whole idea of getting a good Mig welder and i get a good Tig welder... Can i do EVERYTHING i could do with a Mig welder by just getting a Tig welder??
Also any links woudl be great for good prices on the welders.

You still need a mig. Theres times when you just cant get a tig torch in some realy tight spots. I would get a tig reguardless and dont skimp out on a cheap one. Plan to spend in excess of 2000 bucks and be sure it will do aluminum. You can get a cheap mig and it will do the job well.
