Microsoft customer service

Yeah I ordered a 20g hd from microsoft for my xbox on the 16th. It was a good deal only like 19.99. anyway I place the order then they send me a ups tracking # the things ontime and on the way to my house, then suddenly on the arrival day ups says they have a problem with my address but they corrected it.

then I get a delivery conformation email from ups that they left it at the front door of some apartment building a block up the street. So I call customer support they say theyve made a claim for me and give me some claim number and tell me to call back in a few days. Ive called them three times and got nowhere they always say the same things and have no record of my claim number the last person gave me.

So does anyone know of anything else I can do.

Re: Microsoft customer service

Call them up and speak to a sup. Ask for a call reference # and tell them you will be calling back to check on the ref # to make sure it was recorded properly. Get everyone's name and extensions. Won't really do anything, but from the call centers I worked for you usually get some skitish scared person that will do what you say at that point. Unless you get someone like Jorsher.

Also call up UPS and tell them what's going on. Hell go to the apartment it was left at and tell them it shows it was left there and you wanted to come and see before the investigator comes out. Maybe they'll cough it up.

Re: Microsoft customer service

LOL I thought of that.. No I called then again and asked for a supervisor when they started there normal issue number and call back ----. I verablly fenced with him for about 45 minutes and he started saying I needed to contact ups. The it was time to break him.
I said Wait I have no business with ups and they have non with me I paid microsoft for a harddrive and they chose to hire ups to deliver the package to my door what contractors or delivery services microsoft chooses to use is completely up to microsoft and none's business but theirs.
He started trying to keep saying to call ups and I said so your saying microsoft takes money from people and know their was a problem with a delivery has proof of the problem and hangs the customer out to dry. And steals the money. I gave my money I placed an order I held up my end of the deal, Microsoft needs to hold up their end of the deal mircosoft needs tohold to higher standards and honor there customers with good support and proffesional business practices.

then just like that the guy broke he was like ok Dennis we will send you another harddrive. LOL he actually complimented me on handling myself proffesionaly and my negotiating skills.
what a bunch of bullshit.
I haven't got an email with a tracking number though. so we'll see.

Bwahaha, he probably straight up lied. We had people who would come around and take sup calls (not sups, just regular people they would let do it). They would tell them all sorts of ---- and never do it. That's why I said ask for a ref # and tell them you will call back to check it. Also get their full name incase they lie.

Keep calling my cuz got them to send out a power block for the first HDMI xbox claiming it wasn't in the box. They sent one out, but it took FOREVER so they sent another out. Needless to say he got two powerblocks by calling them back when powerblocks were $75-100 retail.
Just keep calling!
You know you can flash a $35 120g WD hard drive and have a 120g HD.

When I was doing tier3 / presidential biz support for Verizon it was absolutely FORBIDDEN to fake a sup call. You got your sup, or a "floater" (Some that just walks around taking sup / calls above a normal tech's ability) Every call center / company I ever heard of where the call center's employer took a fee to use their services (VS owning a product) were all the same way.

Besides, xbox Max would fire them all! LMAO
