I decided to get the kid a netbook instead of getting myself a Tektronix 2465B with option 10 (that's geek speak for a GPIB interface). Well, I just gave it to her and it's nice to see her so happy, but 20/20 hindsight informs me that Stevemode is correct. I would have enjoyed it much more if I'd bought myself a sweet scope.
