Yeah, I understand that, was just thinking about it the wrong way. If he plugged the cable straight from the wall he would be able to get the HD, but he would need a cablecard. If he went through a cable box, then out through coax into his PC, he wouldn't need the cable card since the box would do the decoding, but I thought it would lose signal quality since the only purpose of the coax out on the box is for TVs that don't have av/component/hdmi/whatever inputs.
