Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge
I ordered an electronic oil press. gauge and i opened it up and its mechanical...something about hot oil inside my car makes me weary incase the line breaks....should i use it.. or do you think i should return it and get an electric one..
whats the best way to hook it up (the instructions kinda suck)....tee off block to turbo and another tee to gauge then to sensor??

Nope, i went through the book (its through parts at my work) and got him the right serial number but i guess he just went on the keystone website and checked off oil pressure mechanical...so i paid for mechanical like 50 bucks

Re: Mechanical Oil Pressur Gauge
I say return it and get the electrical gauge.
I would be nervous running a mechanical. I mean, if you get in an accident and that gauge breaks you could have hot oil all over your face.
Chances are you will be fine with the mechanical, but to me, it's worth the extra few bucks.

Re: Mechanical Oil Pressur Gauge
I just dont want to be waiting for the new one to get in...i already postponed my build...
..im just nervous, is anyone running a mechanical and how has it been..?
if i built casing around the line right between gauge and firewall i figure it should be alright if failure occured.

Re: Mechanical Oil Pressur Gauge
did you get hooked up for $50? if so, and it's just a regular mechanical non-bling gauge.. that's really expensive... i've always ran electric ones instead of mechanical ones... so if it's not too much trouble, i'd say trade it
