Default Is This True???

A few questions... first, if a had a d15 bare block and put a d16a6 crank, bearings, rods, pistons, head, im,... etc (basically everything 1.6 d16a6 besides the bare block) would it basically be a 1.6 a6?? Are the journals the same and would the compression be any different from an a6? Also, same question about any 1.6 block (z6, y7, y8, etc) Would any 1.6 bare block be able to use all a6 internals (rods, pistons, crank, head, etc) and basically remain an a6 but just with a diff. bare block? Arent they all the same blocks "bare"? And if so, would everything bolt up w/o problems? 91 crx si

Oh, its actually going to be a built motor with stock comp./ stock bore srp pistons, eagle rods, etc...

what about any d16 block? can i use a z6/y7/y8 bare block with all my a6 parts/internals and fit it into my crx? its just been hard to find a decent a6 block, let alone for a reasonable price... i guess my main question is will it switch up compression or anything like that if i still use d16a6 pistons, crank, head?? and will it work in a crx?
