MLK was a good man. He didn't bullshit and he just wanted people to get along. Most of the peeps on here already said all he did so no reason for me to get into this. He never really hated anyone..he just wanted his kids to grow up with your kids and chill.
And like it or not..the black culture has inspired alot in the american community :P

There are some cultural and genetic differences between white people and black people.
Each race has its good and bad people.
Each race is somewhat intimidated by another race, there's a communication barrier that creates an awkward situation when your in a different environment that you're not familiar with. This causes you to feel different and to be viewed as an outsider which most people are uncomfortable with. White people tend to be more reserved and black people tend to be more light hearted and open. So if you're white and in an all black environment you don't really know how to take it, and how to respond to what they say and how they act because you haven't grown up around that, and it intimidates people. People don't like to be intimidated so it turns off into hate. I don't really know what it would be like to be black in an all white environment. I'm sure its not the most pleasant at home feeling you've ever had and i think sometimes when people are "acting ghetto" they just have their defence up because they're not used to the environment. Its a way to maintain your culture and what your familiar with. I really don't think theirs anything you can do to change this situation. Its more of a thing time has to take care of. You can't tell people to change their life experiences, culture, and beliefs because they're wrong. Even if they are wrong its what they believe, and they'll probably argue that to the death because no one likes to be told they're wrong. Arguments like that just break off into a larger communication barrier and spin off into more hate.
And the word ------ or *****. White people like to say it because we're not supposed to. Its like putting a button in front of a little kid and telling him not to touch it. We also like to ---- with people by insulting them. We might not actually mean it in a harmful way. It just happens to be our way of joking around. Some people do push it to far and use it to be hateful. You can use common sense to dictate when people are crossing that line. And as long as black people give power to the word and take such offence to it their will always be people who use it as a tool of hate. If you liberate the word from the shackles of hatred then it will not be an issue. I don't mean allowing white people to go around calling you ------ all day, that's not cool. But remember, its not fun to insult someone who's not ashamed or doesn't take offence to what ever your calling them. So by doing that you're taking the power and upper hand out of whoever made the comment and intern making them look like an ignorant -------.
