He already did say what was wrong. The car is being held down with straps meant for a much smaller load. There should be chains or much larger webbing holding that thing down.

it also looks like it doesn't have a drive train in it, so the car probably weighs like 1500lbs.

sorry to have to explain... but those motorcycle straps, i wouldnt trust them to hold down a 90lbs crack-----. much less a civic shell. I'm in the towing and recovery game, so i got the experience. it would only take one hard brake for that car to come loose and kill someone.

Those aren't motorcycle straps. Those are only an inch wide. Those look like 2 inch 10k lb straps.

No they are not. They look wider because they are hooked to the trailer, wrapped around the tie point on the car, and then back to the frame. Look at the picture a little closer.

I was just hoping that someone on here wasn't stupid enough to do that.

I've had some of those piece of ---- tie downs break on me just holding down my motorcycle. No ------- way would I trust them to hold a car down. :-X

yeah i def wouldnt use those homo ratchet straps. Chains and binders ftw. one time i recall a guy who had a a porsche 914 on a trailer like that and it looked like it was tied down with bungee cords. Anyway, the car rolled off the back of the trailer and went into the median of the I490 at roughly 65mph. good thing it went into the median, we were in a minivan right next to it.
