i dont know i guess i could see it from both ways....i just dont agree with u....
but if i bought a brand new bike....the last thing i wanna worry about is the bike breaking in 2....lol
im not saying they SHOULDN'T pay him, but i'm saying that they most likely wont. if it's a recall that's one thing, but if it's dumb luck that's another.. but then again there seems to be more than a couple complaints about bikes splitting in 2, I could see the supreme court making them recall those frames- then they would owe medical bills to whoever got f'ed up

Doesn't matter if anyone makes them recall the frames. They can still loose in court and be forced to pay up.

When i was on co-op working for a company that made link arms for honda, something simillar happend. Our competitors link armd failed on an accord and it crashed. Honda caned that company after 9 years of supplying them, and we got 100% of the business, because of one market claim, so yes the manufacturer would be paying for what happend, unless they can prove that the bikes were being "missused" which in all likelyhood were, because how many ppl own a street bike and dont beat on it, however they should still not break like that.

Exactly, I'd like to see that argument stand up in court...if I was the Judge I'd be like "well sure as hell the bike was not designed to do your groceries with, Now pay up"

Suzuki has a hit-or-miss record with their frames lately. I had a 99 TL1000S the the steering head cracked almost from top to bottom. No wheelies. Only had it 3mths and had 1000miles. After some bitchin and a threat from an attorney, they gave me a new one. I traded it on a 2001 Busa and had it for a year with no problems. I'd never buy another Suzuki again tho. Kaw if anything.
