Making progress on the $200 CRX turbo.

Well I'm done building my turbo kit and I am just waiting on some gaskets. I know most people like the sound of a wastegate with an open dump tube but I am not one of those people. The CRX is getting a plumbed in dump tube. Here are the pics. I will do a full install write up if I get my gaskets before it ------- snows!

Here is my messy hostile work environment with some crap I built.

Here is the mani, turbo, wastegate, downpipe and dump tube assembled.

The downpipe is 3" stainless steel but the tubing for the WG isn't. I couldn't find any locally and was sick of waiting. Hopefully it will be a running turbo CRX this weekend. Everything is already done, oil pan, injectors, charge pipes. everything. Just need to get my T3 and WG gaskets. So far it looks like I bought the CRX and turbo'd it for under $1000.

Holy Crap Dave that looks badass :o It should be alot quieter and you'll hear the sweet spool of the turbo a bit more with a plumbed dump tube like that. Good luck with the install, let me know if you need an extra set of hands.

Hahaha, Josh you got to use that quote in your sign. :D

Streve everything is done and in the car. Thanks for the help though. All I have to do is bolt whats in the picture in. Everything else is done. I will get some good pics this weekend. I am very pleased with the out come of the this setup. I have to paint my Crossmember I made and paint the charge pipes so I am going to take them out tomorrow afternoon.

Good ---- Dave! If only my flux core could look that good with a weeks worth of grinding off dingleberry splatter. :P What size snail is that? 48/60? Josh I think your quote should of been "NE CREW REPPIN LIKE TAPE RULER SUSPENDERS ON YOUR GRANDPA" or "NE CREW REPPING LIKE OLD PEOPLE SMELLING LIKE BEN-GAY"
