My girl has a nicer car than I do.

I'd like a nice car, but the idea of a $300/month payment plus full coverage insurance kills that plan. I'd save money to buy a nice car, but I'd ened up blowing it on turbo parts and other ---- for my hoopty rides before I ever got that far.

Kinda... If you have a riced out car... rarely does anyone expect you to win a race, it wreaks of suck. Its all an illusion. Its like saying to most people "whoa i have a corvette" and most people think "it must be fast" but the truth is most 70s/80s/early 90s corvettes either arent that fast or are really slow... If you have a riced out car, the rice is an illusion that your car is fast, but most people know better than to say its fast. If you have a stock/clean looking car there are very few things to distinguish it from an average car, making the average driver think its automatically slow by default. If you have a hoopty... nobody cares wether its pretty fast if it looks like complete ***

dude, i'm not sticking up for them, but have you driven any corvettes?... i went with a friend to a corvette meet, his dad has one, most there weren't stock, and even those who were stock were still pretty damn fast

well... a 75 corvette will do the 1/4 in 16.1,
an 84 corvette will do it in 15.1,
an 88 will do it in 14.6 (ok getting faster)
and in 94 itd do it in 14.1 (ok not bad).

My point is that old vettes look pretty cool but arent really fast. Say if you had BBKA's SOHC D16 turbo and a 94 Corvette sitting right next to eachother, most people would pick the 94 vette to smoke his civic... which in all likelyhood simply would not be.

Back last year when I was 17, I was all about looks and speed. I bought an Invader body kit, modified the front bumper and took away the little fog light holes and it looks a lot better, I moulded it on the sides and rear, shaved sidemoulding/antenna/rear wipers

I painted it myself lexus is300 grey, was ------- mint.....

Until it got keyed.....

People get jealous and they ---- ---- up they cant have. So I fixed the key marks, took the $1200 insurance money (windshield smashed as well) I painted the car flat black ($40) and painted my gunmetal slips bronze ($10)

The car still looks sick but I dont have to baby it anymore and I go have fun on dirt roads and fly around in new housing developements without worrying about paint chips and ----

It may still look like a "ricer" with the body kit and Invader hood but JDM hasnt caught on in Canada at all, especially with young kids my age.

Built motor and turbo going to be installed in less than 2 months (after canadas ice age lol) and itll be quick ----

I like it, but hate the attention I got from it when I made it flashy, girls dig it to, even the flat black
