LSD motorsports Clutches

I am looking at getting a Clutch from LSD and was wondering what everyones experiences with them are? The clutch will be LSD's brand and it will be a Street Disk with Heavy Duty PP. Thanks in advance

Re: LSD motorsports Clutches

He stopped answering my PM's and IM's on AIM.

I've had a few problems with him in the past. Somehow the brake rotors I ordered from him turned out to be the wrong ones, not really his fault. He took care of that, refunded me and everything.

The biggest and what I consider to be the only problem I've ever had with him is a cylinder head I bought from him that arrived in very poor condition. It had obviously been ran using water for coolant - corrosion in the water passages, and it was slightly warped. Also it had been overheated before since the little button that melts at 240* had melted off. He took the price of getting it fixed off of what I paid him, but still wanted me to pay him some more money for the head...which I refused to do.

The last problem I had was I sent a PM6 ECU to him for chipping and the turnaround time wasn't there, but that wasn't his fault. I told him to put other people's orders infront of mine since he was very busy. Eventually he just paypal'd me some money and we called it even.

Now don't get me wrong, Mike is a super cool guy. I think he's got some good products and his prices on a lot of things are unbeatable. Even after everything that happened with the rotors, cylinder head, and ECU - I would still buy from him, especially a clutch.

To be honest I didn't even know if he was still in business or not because he never got back with me as far as any future purchases go....but apparently he is.

Re: LSD motorsports Clutches

I don't think I'll ever run another clutch besides his. My clutch went from 235hp D series, to Jeffs 135hp D series all motor, to Crays sub 200 and needing to be tuned D series. The clutch has been raped and it still keeps pointing and laughing at us. :'(

The only problem I'm having with Mike right now is it's taking a couple extra days to ship off my sponsored brake setup. That guy needs to send free parts as fast as paid for parts. Hey, I'm a fucken customer too. ;D

I've had two of his clutches and recommended them to a couple others. I loved them. Good stuff.

Mike is solid.

When I ordered the worng stuff for one of our project cars, he didn't call me a moron (which I deserved), and bailed me out by getting me the right stuff right away. Thumbs up for great customer service. We're happy to say that Mike provides us with excellent service on all our orders with him.

Mikes service is second to none. His clutches are second to none and when i though i was having some problems with some parts i bought from him he was super quick responding to questions and very helpful. The issue turned out to be my fault anyways. :1

Re: LSD motorsports Clutches

OK well thanks guys i know where im gonna get my clutch now. Now on to my next question.....

I was thinking of getting the Heavy duty PP and the Street disk is that gonna be enough for a Boosted D-series? Its gonna be all stock internal motor for now untill something goes than i have another motor sitting that is gonna be getting built while mine is still running. Still gonna be a D-series but i dont have a problem upgrading the clutch if i have to. I just dont wanna have too much clutch. Well thanks for all ur help guys

Go with a 6 puck sprung, you won't regret it. You will regret the street disk when you up your boost and it can't hold the power. Besides, theres nothing like chirping the tires shifting into third (lol my stock all motor ls did that with the six puck)
