that entire article was an opinion, and with no scientific backing. he said all extra energy is stored as fat, thats correct, but carbs are NOT the only source of energy (again he said that, contradicting himself) protein is processed 30% faster and more efficiently by the body for energy. and fat is stored energy right (it says so in that article) so whats wrong with using it as fuel for the day when all your doing is sitting on your *** at your desk? he also mentions extremes, if you spent the time reading the new atkins books, you will see that phase 2 and 3 (where you will be all the time but the first week) is limited carbs, not no carbs, just the opposite of the low fat (or no fat) high carb lifestyles people have been getting fat on for years. if something doesnt work, you change it... if you dont, your an idiot for thinking that doing the same thing over and over will eventually give you a different result. thats where dr atkins came in.
