I tried that with mine...used a 3/4" thich solid bar that was 6 foot long. Took the torch to the nut, got it cherry red, then broke 4 1/2" drive snap-on and mac breaker bars and bent the 3/4" bar into a fish hook shape I ended up swapping out the entire hub and axle. :P

We traded in the entire spindle/hub/axle into the parts store when we needed to give them a core axle that we couldnt detach.
I can't believe they took that ----. We chewed up an entire cut off wheel unsuccesfully trying to cut the nut off of the one.

Those accord brakes did look like a bitch. Glad I didnt have to touch them.
