I have only welded a few times, but i wouldnt try to take a stab at a manifold in that level at first.

I just welded a t3 flange onto a hacked y7 mani and called it a day. Damn that is so intimidating to even think about tackling! Good luck though! Thats sexy but looks like a pain to work with and that WG looks kinda mounted in a goofy position but thats just me.
