and i will also agree that the 4.3 is a badass v6 but the s-10's are seriously a shittier truck as far as holding together. every s-10 i have ever been in that was made after 95 made me feel like i was going to die.

4.3l vortec s10 will pull most of the ---- you'll ever want to.

mid size boat, campers, etc... 250ft-lbs of torque and they are underrated

yes they are nothing to brag out but either is a older yota. they both are cheap trucks and have cheap everything. but with the s10 you get about twice the power and the same or better mileage

4.3 vortec s10 4x4 is rated at 17city 22hw

chirp chirp... chirp chirp...

torque + gearing = good mileage

or you could have

no torque + gearing = BAD MILEAGE with less power

Why does the 8.1 Chevy motor get for mileage in a Chevy truck? Plenty or torque, gears made for towing, should get like 30-40mpg, right? :1

and if you really want to know.

it would get better mileage than a high revving 5.0l engine that had no torque in the same truck
