oooo big deal
those trucks are worthless, the 22r is very gutless and can barely move the truck itself let alone if there is anythng attached to it or anything in the bed

yeah...no. 22r is a nice engine regarless if it has LS1 power or not it will straight billy goat some ----. and if it had no issues pulling out my jeep i dont care if you chalk it up to gearing or not its a tough *** stout truck.
Honeslty didnt you just accuse someone of being a fanboi and not listening to facts? Its a toyota dude its a well known fact that they are tough as ---- for body style that complex has.
common knowledge duder. top gear is full of ---- but those trucks arent.

yes the 22r motor will run a long time, and are "good" motors.
but like i said they are very gutless. so soooooo gutless...
i don't doubt it would pull a jeep out of something, people use them as wheelers all the time. and they make good wheelers.
they are peices of crap, but peices of crap that keep going.
its like putting a d16 in a truck

so it will last forever, pull ----, get great gas milage, and makes an awesome wheeler but its a pos?
so because it doesn't have a bowtie or have 300+ horsepower its a POS? i dont understand why you would buy this yota truck if you werent trying to do any of the above things listed. are you buying one to pull a car or drag race in? cause then yes i agree its a shitty truck for that but for all the things you would ever use a standard light duty truck for....its Pwns anything GM.
s-10 is basiclly its competition right? so would the s-10 last longer?

try pulling a boat with it. try pulling your jeep up a hill at highway speeds :P
they are good for wheeling because they are cheap peices of ---- and it doesn't matter if you bash it up.
lots of people put v6 and v8s in them. im talking specifically about the old 22r trucks. they don't get great gas mileage either
as for the s10 thing, the i4 s10s are peices of ----
the 4x4 4.3l vortec s10s are better in everyway than every i4/v6 yota
as for lasting longer, s10s are just as much peices of ---- as a 22r yota.
but the v6 s10 is a much better truck, lots of power and very reliable and tested v6 (4.3 vortec). plus they get decent gas mileage
