There were really only two popular analog tape formats (not including VHC and BETA of course) - 8mm and VHS-C. The tapes will say on them which type they are. The VHS-C tapes look like minature VHC tapes in that the little white gear looking thing on the bottom is the same size as a standard VHS tape.

doesnt look like its going to be that bad of a camera. These people pick it apart but I dont think it will bug me that much. I just want a decent camera I can take videos of for internet, and car stuff. and of coarse other ---- to but for the most part...just car stuff. :P
