lookin to go 12's!!!
what's up guys, i just picked up a 90 crx, wanna start doing some stuff to it, what kinda setup (motor, turbo, etc.) should i run to be able to get the car into the 12's on somewhat of a budget, any input would be sick, thanks

Pretty safe bet if you put some sort of ferrari engine in there it'll run 12's.

if you can gut it and get the weight around 1900lbs and get a d16z6, try and spray a 75 shot on it. should be in the 12's and it would be cheap.

what kinda car do you have? if its an 88-91 hatch or crx look in the classifieds, there was a guy selling engine mount kits.

it doesnt take much power to get into the 12's
SRD has a 89 hatch with most of the work into suspension and weight reduction, runs 12.6's with just 162 whp |

B18A swap,decent size turbo and some slicks.Easy 12's.

B18a/b Ls swap, a good clutch,a super 60 t3 @ 10-12 psi, good tuning with turboedit or the like, new springs and struts and a set of traction bars to reduce wheel hop, and a set of street slicks...12's.... :y

12's are not as easy as a motor swap, and turbo. ::) Good luck with life if you think that is all it takes ;) |

Car weight: 2300 lbs.
Horsepower: 275 hp Configuration: Front Wheel Drive Results Quarter Mile Acceleration: 12.953 seconds. Terminal speed: 115.2964 mph. My integra almost weighs that much and i am hoping to put 275 down the the front wheels with 10-12psi and uberdata. and if it doesnt weigh that much then we start stripping the bitch, becuase less weight = more hp. |

those acceleration calculators suck though. I hate to refer to him again, but its who everyone knows with the turbo dirty d...
BBKA ran less horsepower, more weight, and a lower time (on slicks of course) so who knows. |

Yeah it takes a bit more power when you don't have a stripped out tin can. Power to weight is very important yes, but it isn't my style to drive stripped out cars. Each to their own.

25% AWD drivetrain loss takes it's toll, too.
That, and a 16G is a puling little girl sized turbo. |
