It's an auto darkening welding helmet!! I'm going to be welding like a pimp now! This thing is bitchn'. You can set it high or low and it's solar powered. You just look at something bright and it dims.
Pretty damn cool IMO. I got it on ebay for like $50.

The only welding I do is of the JB sort. I think I'm gonna try and get a used mig or tig and learn myself real good.

Man thats cheap I have a speedglass one that costed me 300 bucks like 2 years ago. I love the thing. Just be careful once you get used to an autotinting lense its hard to weld with anything else...you get spoiled

i have one of those too. its soo much better to use, especialy if your welding sheet metal were you gotta tack like every 6 inches. i love it and will never go back to a regular hood.

Yeah, those goggles suck ***! And the non auto darkening helmets get annoying because you have to keep flipping the lense or helmet to see where your welding etc. but you got a good deal on that helmet Doc. Those are sweet. Whats the darkening shade of the lense? #10? #11? Anyway's it's a sweet tool to have when welding.

It's fully adjustable. I can make it darker or lighter by turning a **** inside the helmet. I dig it.
